Inidata.id - In order to increase public understanding in using electricity safely and productively, PLN UP3 Pontianak intensively conducts electricity socialization, one of which is in Sungai Bemban Village, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan.

Manager of PLN UP3 Pontianak, Syaiful Azhari Siregar, said that socialization activities like this are often carried out to provide understanding to the public, especially regarding electricity safety.

"For this reason, we hope that the public will be more concerned about the safety of life and the environment to avoid accidents, both at home and at business," he said today.

He said, based on data held by the Kubu Raya District Fire Service, the main cause of fires in homes and businesses was mainly caused by an electrical short circuit.

He appealed to the public to be more careful in using electricity, and to re-examine the existence of electrical installations that are over 10 years old.

He admits that preventive efforts through outreach activities like this are very important. He admitted that he often took advantage of every moment of community gathering, such as meeting activities, discussion forums, or coordination meetings to carry out socialization activities.
