Inidata.id - Stylized as a fashion show model, the Mayor of Pontianak Edi Rusdi Kamtono along with several invited guests walked on a catwalk designed to resemble a zebra cross, starting the opening of Pontianak Fashion Week (PFW) 2022 at the Untan Bike Park.
Dressed in a green batik shirt, Edi Rusdi Kamtono appears as one of the many fashion models.
Colorful clothes designed by three designers enliven this fashion week for the first time in West Kalimantan.
Welcoming ideas that come from young people, Edi hopes that there will be more creativity and similar innovations for economic growth in Pontianak City, West Kalimantan.
"Honestly shaking, I'd rather run jogging than catwalk. However, having PFW indicates that anyone can be stylish,” said Edi Rusdi Kamtono after officially opening PFW today.
In addition to entertaining the public, the fashion parade performance was judged to be able to adjust the weather conditions in Pontianak City, which incidentally had hot temperatures. Through the work of well-known designers, the clothes used by the models look cool and shady.
"I appreciate the appearance of the clothes, this fits in the Equator City. This will provide space for residents to be more creative," said Edi Rusdi Kamtono.
Not only that, as many as more than 50 booths dominated by MSME businesses also enliven the PFW agenda.
