Inidata.id - Narcotics, psychotropics, and other addictive substances which are often called drugs are addictive substances that affect a person's mental or psychological condition (thoughts, feelings, and behavior).

Not only that, the effects of consuming these substances can cause dependence. If they are dependent, the younger generation will be threatened because these substances can damage the body and also attack their psychology.

The biggest challenge for the West Kalimantan region, which is directly adjacent to neighboring countries, is a separate homework for all stakeholders to work hand in hand in alleviating this drug trafficking.

Foundation (Community-Based Rehabilitation or abbreviated RBM) Geratak Sambas Regency which is located on Jalan Raya Setapuk, Sepak Village Tanjung Dusun Tanjung Putat RT/RW 005/001 No. 72 and the address for the rehabilitation center at Jalan Pangsuma, Pemangkat District, Sambas Regency and was established on November 10, 2017 under the leadership of Ryan Setiawan as one of the foundations that is active and cares for the young generation who have been entangled in drugs. by the Regional Secretary of West Kalimantan Province Harisson, also attended by Deputy Regent of Sambas Fahrur Rofi, Aspidum of the West Kalimantan High Court, officials representing the National Narcotics Agency of West Kalimantan Province, representatives from the Social Service of West Kalimantan Province, Pontianak City and Sambas Regency as well as vertical agencies and other related institutions at the Great Mosque of Mujahidin Pontianak Hall, Tuesday (2/8/2022).

A total of 60 people who came from Singkawang, Sambas, Mempawah Pontianak and Kubu Raya and other areas with the youngest age being 14 years old, took a 5 hour drive from Pemangkat to Pontianak City and arrived at 6 this morning at the courtyard of the Grand Mujahideen Mosque.

This spirit is none other than participating in the Focus Group Discussion program of Collaboration between Institutions and Agencies in answering the dilemma of Family Abuse and the Launching of the Free Rehabilitation Program by the Geratak Foundation of West Kalimantan Province in order to be free from drug entanglements.

"The West Kalimantan Provincial Government welcomes the implementation of this activity. Because it is one of the efforts in preventing and overcoming the problem of drug abuse in West Kalimantan Province," said West Kalimantan Regional Secretary Harisson.

Drug abuse has now become a global problem that causes adverse impacts in various fields of community and national life, including aspects of health, education, work, social life, and security.
