Inidata.id - The existence of the 45 West Kalimantan (Kalbar) Regional Daily Council (DHD) is assessed by the Mayor of Pontianak, Edi Rusdi Kamtono as the guardian of the values of the struggle of the nation's previous heroes, especially for young people.
This was conveyed by him after receiving the embedding of the championship badge by DHD 45, at the Mayor's Office, Wednesday (3/8/2022).
"On behalf of the Pontianak City Government, I appreciate the existence of DHD 45 who has taken the time, energy and thought to maintain the heroic values that have contributed to the independence of the nation," he said.
Towards the momentum of the 77th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, Mayor Edi invited DHD 45 to collaborate in instilling the fighting spirit of the predecessors to the next generation.
One of those efforts is to pay attention to the lives of veterans and take examples from them.
“There are some future generations who have not been touched by the meaning of the struggle of the 45th generation, especially in the city of Pontianak. This is what we need to raise, so that young people can appreciate the hard-won independence,” he said, who is also the Chairman of the 45 West Kalimantan Regional Plenary Council.
Chairman of the DHD 45 West Kalimantan, Syafaruddin Usman explained, the pinning of this honorary badge was carried out based on the deliberations of the 45th National Daily Council (DHN) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) as well as the 60th anniversary of DHN 45 RI. Bang Din as he is familiarly known, explained that the badge of honor was given to increase motivation and preserve the fighting value of the Indonesian Nation's heroes.
"Why is it given to the Chairman of the Regional Plenary Council? Of course, because the chairman of the board at the center, namely our former Vice President, General TNI Try Sutrisno, has done in-depth considerations, research and studies," he said.
The role of DHD 45 West Kalimantan for Pontianak City has also been deep, or commonly called Tri Abdi Juang, with the preservation of the spirit of fighting spirit, community service as well as research and development of the fighting spirit of the heroes from Pontianak City.
He said that the momentum for independence would be inaugurated in Pontianak City, one of which this year will be in Padang Sayok.
“Because on December 15, 1945 there, the red and white flag was raised for the first time in West Kalimantan. So far, the synergy with the Pontianak City Government, we always remind about the importance of the hero's fighting value to young people," he said.***
