The atmosphere of emotion and joy was evident from the pilgrims who arrived in the courtyard of the Kapuas Palace Hotel Pontianak and were greeted directly by the Governor of West Kalimantan, Sutarmidji, accompanied by the Head of the Ministry of Religion for the West Kalimantan Region Syahrul Yadi, Chairman of DPRD Sambas Abu Bakar, several Heads of Regional Apparatus in the West Kalimantan Provincial Government and West Kalimantan Province Hajj Organizing Officers (PPIH).
Governor Sutarmidji advised the congregation, especially those who still had to stay overnight in Pontianak, to immediately rest and keep their bodies fit, considering the long and tiring journey from Jeddah to Batam continued to Pontianak.
Not only that, for 42 days the congregation is required to carry out the entire series and pillars of the pilgrimage which is very tiring.
Governor Sutarmidji appealed to the congregation to remain firm and consistent in doing good deeds as has been done during the pilgrimage.
"Hopefully all of this will leave an imprint on us so that the prosperity of our pilgrimage is maintained. I also invite all pilgrims to join the Indonesian Hajj Brotherhood Association (IPHI), in order to maintain friendship with each other among pilgrims," said Governor Sutarmidji.***
