Inidata.id - The Board of Directors of the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) in six sub-districts throughout the city of Pontianak was officially inaugurated. The inauguration of the DMI administrators and members was held at the Grand Mujahideen Mosque, Wednesday (20/7/2022).

The chairman of DMI Pontianak City, Edi Rusdi Kamtono said, with the inauguration of DMI management in six sub-districts throughout Pontianak City, the administrators could be more enthusiastic to unite the same perception.

Moreover, the number of mosques in Pontianak City has so far recorded as many as 348 mosques. Therefore, he asked the DMI management to be able to make innovations and breakthroughs so that the function of the mosque, apart from being a place of worship, can also have an impact on the welfare of the people.

"So, the function of the mosque is not only a house of worship but can improve the quality of the community, especially their lives such as the economy, communication and friendship," he said.

After the inauguration of the DMI management in these six sub-districts, Edi said his party would follow up by holding work meetings to develop programs and collaborate. In fact, DMI plans to design an alternative in the non-cash donation or infaq system for existing mosques.

"The trick is to provide a QRIS code, pilgrims who want to donate or donate to the mosque simply scan the QRIS code that has been provided," he said.

This non-cash way of giving donations and infaq is quite practical and fast. So that mosque congregations simply open the payment application and scan the available QRIS code, then enter the nominal amount of money they want to donate.
